ADIPS 2010 Inspection Body Conference was held at Bretby Hotel and Conference Centre on 10th December.  There were 40 attendees at the event with representation coming from 21 ADIPS Registered Inspection Bodies.  The programme was as follows:

Ian Griffin, Level 3 NDT/ME Consultant, Lavender International NDT provided the first presentation:

The PCN scheme for visual inspection provides a basic foundation for inspectors called upon to conduct visual inspection procedures.  Relevant to all ADIPS registered inspectors, this session covered course content and the benefits of using such a scheme. (View Presentation)

John Madden, HM Principle Specialist Inspector (Electrical Engineering)

Amongst other topics, this session dealt with the revision of the IEE Wiring Regulations, BS7671 and BS7909:2008 – Code of practice for temporary electrical systems, and issues surrounding power supplies seen on fairgrounds. (View Presentation)

John Savage, Director, National Fluid Power Centre UK

Delivered by a world leader for training in hydraulics and pneumatics, this session included detail of the ADIPS Hydraulics/Pneumatics course and considered common inspection requirements of fluid power systems. (View Presentation)

Owen Ketteringham, Applications Specialist, Bridon International Ltd provided the next presentation:
