Inflatable Supervisor Safety Video

ADIPS is pleased to announce that along with our industry colleague PIPA, we created a training video for the role of an inflatable supervisor.

On the ADIPS platform, this video is for fairground and theme park workers plus inflatable hirers that have an ADIPS ID membership. It will also be hosted on the PIPA learning hub for PIPA members. There it will also be availability for teachers/adults to watch via gaining a PIPA membership. They will be able to watch it for if occurrence where they are asked to supervise an inflatable at a fete or such.

The supervision of inflatables, especially dry-hire units has historically been a void for understanding, this video addresses this.

Controllers who have an ADIPS ID can log into their dashboard and view the video for free then attaining a certificate at the end to put into their staff training portfolio.

Areas Covered.

This 10-minute informative video covers the following areas:

1. 1. What you need. Such as uniform, whistle etc
   2. Responsibilities. What a supervisor is responsible for and must be able to check.
   3. The Handover. The handover process from the person who set the inflatable up.
   4. Operational. The aspects of the operation including, a safety briefing, cycle, loose items, user heights/numbers/the manufacturer label, behaviour, bad weather.
   5. Periodic Checks. The periodic checks that are required such as wind, pressure, rips/tears, the blower tube.
   6. Emergencies. What to do in an emergency.

From the dashboard area controllers can also watch the previous Attendant Induction training video. Watching both these videos attains a certificate that can be placed in a staff training portfolio.
