ADIPS presents safety award to Clacton PierClacton Pier has been awarded the inaugural ADIPS Safety Award for the Pursuit of Excellence.

ADIPS has launched the award scheme as part of its ongoing campaign to raise the profile of safety and health in the amusements industry. ADIPS General Manager Carl Hagemann presented the accolade to Clacton Pier Managing Director Billy Ball during ADIPS Annual Conference at Blackpool Pleasure Beach Resort on 16-17 October 2024.

Carl said: “One of ADIPS’ aims is to recognise and promote safety excellence in the amusements industry. The ADIPS Safety Award for the Pursuit of Excellence will be given each year to an organisation that has excelled in its work to protect people from harm and promote a positive safety culture.

“It has been clear to ADIPS, from our engagement with the team on inspections and training, that Clacton Pier is a great example of an organisation that takes safety very seriously. It’s a family-run firm and there is clear a very healthy, positive safety culture. We’re delighted to present the Safety Award for Pursuit of Excellence to such a deserving recipient.”
