ADIPS Inspection Body Conference 2025

On Wednesday 10th September 2025, ADIPS held its third annual conference for inspection bodies (I.B.’s) that are registered on the scheme. This year it took place at Drayton Manor Resort in the West Midlands. It was the best attended conference since ADIPS started holding them.

The ADIPS Inspection Body Conference 2025 PIPA inflatables update at the meeting

Conference 2025.

A number of speakers were lined up to give valuable and insightful updates to those present and it was also a great opportunity for the testers to network as well.

Fairground Joint Advisory Council.

The day started with a specially formatted FJAC update by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE). Updates were given of recent instances they have observed and also investigations they have carried out. The FJAC is a unique forum where industry stakeholders can ask the regulator questions face-to-face and responses can be forged quickly.

PIPA.

In a first, the inflatable play inspection scheme PIPA addressed the meeting. They gave an update on their framework and the issues they are addressing. It is easy to overlook safety issues when dealing with some of the big rides and devices that ADIPS encompasses, so have having PIPA there the IB’s were able to get the latest information.

RKMS.

The auditing company that ADIPS uses for its inspection bodies gave an update. They gave a positive overview of the process saying that of the 49 audits that have been recently carried out, that 89% were awarded exemplary scores.

NAFLIC.

The current chair of the association for inspection body’s NAFLIC (National Association for Leisure Industry Certification) gave a talk to the inspection bodies present about how they can benefit by being involved and interactive with each other.

Safety Markings on PPE.

There was an enlightening talk about the markings that should be found on PPE (such as harnesses and carabiners). The meeting was shown how (for example) that the China Export logo is nearly identical to the European CE marking.

The day also had updates from ADIPS and the ADSC and scored very well with feedback from those attending.
